As the sun rises, you’ll leave the ground, with just the sound of the dawn chorus of birds and the occasional blast of the balloon’s gas burner, used to keep you afloat.
Usually on this stunning ballon journey, you’ll start with a pre-dawn briefing in a village outside Byron Bay, before lifting off to catch the soft morning breeze eastward towards the coast. You drift over farmland and forest, with the coast drawing nearer over the hour-long journey. The Cape Byron Lighthouse is a key landscape feature to spy, as the sun glistens on the Pacific Ocean beyond. As the flight draws to a close you can prepare yourself for an exciting landing not far from Byron Bay.
